Bathroom is such a slippery place, no doubt about that. The major cause of injuries which happen almost to all age is because the slippery floor which will cause people’s falls. Fortunately, there is a grab bar which can help us to avoid falling inside our own bathroom. If it is properly mounted where it is just installed into wooden backing which is behind a wall, it will be surely effective for solving the slippery floor problem. For getting the grab bar installed inside your bathroom is such an easy job to do which is categorized as DIY project.

First, before getting your grab bar installed you must get it positioned. If we referring to the National Kitchen and Bath Association’s rules, we must get the grab bar installed horizontally. Where the angle is about 45 degree which will give the best support it can for making the activity of going inside and outside the bathroom easier.

They (the horizontal bars) must be installed with about 33 inches & 35 inches above the bathtub’s floor. This is aimed to get it close enough to the control of the shower so that the water temperature can be adjusted easily. Then after that, you must get a 24 inches bar and then install it with angle of 45 degree between the studs which have been installed on the centers of 16 inches.

Then what about the studs’ location? You can get the studs located easily actually. If the above-shower drywall has been exposed, it will result in the stud sensor gets them located easily. But there is one thing which will maybe bother you, that the studs finder sometimes finds difficulty with the walls which is tile covered. For making it sure that you have found the location of the stud is, you will need to create a hole in the tile. Then after that make a measurement for about 16 inches for what? Of course it is for finding the 2nd stud. Then, get the holes patched using a silicon caulk dab. By using it, you will be able to get them hidden as well as the stable moisture.
